Take it off, Take it all off!

CLEANSER
Source

I am guilty of the fact that it has taken me up until bottle #6 to finally blog about the Korres White Tea cleanser.  It sneaked up on me and became such an integral part of my life that I didn't realize how much I love it...how much I NEED it until I suddenly ran out of it last week.

Korres is one of my favorite brands because it is natural yet functional.  The packaging always indicates what percentage of the product is natural.  In the case of the White Tea cleanser, it is comprised of 78.8% all natural ingredients.  Besides the fact that it contains the minimal amount of synthetic ingredients that can have negative effects on your skin, it is very functional.

This cleanser is suitable for all skin types, but since it is a "gel" cleanser people with combination to oily skin will love it.  Not only does it leave your face feeling clean and refreshed, it maintains the skin's integrity.  So no tightness or dryness!  My favorite part about this cleanser is that it takes off all your makeup....even waterproof makeup!!  The 100% natural cleansing agents makes it safe for this cleanser to be used around the eye area as well.  No more cotton pads and makeup remover for me.

If that hasn't impressed you yet, then pay close attention to this:  The white tea cleanser can double as a pimple cream.  You got it, if you feel a breakout coming on then apply a thin layer to the area of concern before you go to bed.  If you have an area that is prone to breakouts (aka. my forehead) then apply a thin layer to the area every night to keep everything under control.

Powder Suncreen -- Brilliant!

source

Bare Escentuals have come up with the coolest, newest thing -- powder sunscreen! Okay fine, to be honest powder suncsreen has been around for a while (ex. Peter Thomas Roth powder suncsreen) but the only way to get it was to sneak it across the US border. Bare Escentuals has come up with a setting powder that has SPF 25 and it's actually available in Canada. It does not feel heavy AND it doesn't leave a white film on your face. Brilliant!

Smokey Eyes

Smokey eyes can be achieved in several ways. After doing a gazillion traditional ones (super black and super smoked out) I got bored so I decided to put a spin on it. With this smokey eye I used a bright color then I traced the crease with a contrasting dark color. As a result, it's smokey when I look straight, but it's loud and funky look when I look down. Stay tuned for my how to's for this look!

Walking the Line

I LOVE lace and bows so I try to incorporate them into my wardrobe whenever possible. Bows are easy -- they make everything look cute. The only precaution you have to take is to make sure that they are not TOO cute (that's usually my concern as it not uncommon for me to be mistaken for being 16...or 14 as some people have bluntly pointed out).

Lace is a different story. It's so risky. I generally find pieces that have a bit of lace on the back or the front of the shirt -- girly but nothing too racy. On one fateful Saturday, however,
I was feeling rather daring and decided to purchase a pair of lace stockings for my night out. Despite the fact that my original outfit walked a thin line between paying to get into a club versus getting paid to go into a hotel room (Imagine a long shirt just past the butt, thigh highs and a messy black smokey eye), I was adamant about wearing the stockings out. My friends were forced to raid the closet with me for the next hour so that I could have an outfit fit for public. It was a rocky start, but now I got the hang of them! They walk a thin line, but the fun is in trying to dress them up so that they look just right.

The pictures look a bit off because I took them after I got home from going out. I decided
to keep a reminder of how to actually wear them
