Walking the Line

I LOVE lace and bows so I try to incorporate them into my wardrobe whenever possible. Bows are easy -- they make everything look cute. The only precaution you have to take is to make sure that they are not TOO cute (that's usually my concern as it not uncommon for me to be mistaken for being 16...or 14 as some people have bluntly pointed out).

Lace is a different story. It's so risky. I generally find pieces that have a bit of lace on the back or the front of the shirt -- girly but nothing too racy. On one fateful Saturday, however,
I was feeling rather daring and decided to purchase a pair of lace stockings for my night out. Despite the fact that my original outfit walked a thin line between paying to get into a club versus getting paid to go into a hotel room (Imagine a long shirt just past the butt, thigh highs and a messy black smokey eye), I was adamant about wearing the stockings out. My friends were forced to raid the closet with me for the next hour so that I could have an outfit fit for public. It was a rocky start, but now I got the hang of them! They walk a thin line, but the fun is in trying to dress them up so that they look just right.

The pictures look a bit off because I took them after I got home from going out. I decided
to keep a reminder of how to actually wear them
